Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
You will provide support to internal departments and external telent customers. You will spend time in placements within our Central Finance team - learning about cash, customer and supplier transactions and basic bookkeeping - followed by placements in one of our four businesses, learning about management accounts, budgeting, cash control and forecasting.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will be given 20% of your time at work to learn off-the-job. Training will include The Assistant Accountant Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Functional Skills in Mathematics and English (unless you have exemptions); The Professional Diploma in Accounting; Accounting/Tax Technician - CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (Cert BA); and the opportunity to pass your Accounting Tax Technician - ATT Association of Tax Technicians exams.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
By the end of the programme you’ll gain a good understanding of the basics in all areas of Finance within Telent. On successful completion of your Level three assistant accountant apprenticeship you’ll continue to work as one of our finance team. In the future there may be opportunities to continue your accountancy studies up to Masters’ degree level including CIMA or ACCA.
