What will the apprentice be doing?
Wells & Co have been running pubs and brewing beer in the heart of Bedfordshire since 1876. They have also taken the great British pub experience across the channel, and have an expanding pub estate in several French cities. Staff benefits include discounts on food and drinks across the UK, 30% off their staff shop and occasional staff team meals out. Part of your role will include providing day to day support within the finance team entering bank transactions into UK and French accounting systems, bank settlements for UK and French bank accounts, processing transactions and assisting with cash settlements for the UK and France, completing the monthly company credit card process and accounting for the UK and assisting the French and UK financial and cost accounts team.What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
During this apprenticeship, you will study the following topics: General business, understanding your organization, accounting systems, basic accounting, ethical standard, IT systems, communication and team working. On completion of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved a Level 2 Accounts / Finance Assistant apprenticeship and an AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2).What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
This role will evolve over time to enable the apprentice to develop new accounting skills and apply those skills learnt from the accountancy training.Reality Check
