Job Description

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain a portfolio of Customer Accounts with outstanding balances by Telephone Collection and letters ensuring unallocated payments are allocated promptly
  • Keeping the overdue balances to a minimum whilst resolving Customer queries to enable credit or payment
  • Following the Credit Control manual and department processes and procedures whilst reporting any areas of concern to your Manager
  • Review orders on hold and contact customers within the deadline to enable delivery.
  • Liaising with Manager re-blocked orders and all credit management issues

  • A permanent position may be on offer upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship

Skills Required

  • Willingness to learn and be adaptable to new situations
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in an organised, proactive manner
  • Microsoft Word and Excel and understanding and knowledge of SAP

Qualities Required

  • Able to manage time and prioritise effectively exercising diplomacy and sensitivity
  • Team player but must have the ability to work well as an individual

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE maths and English Grade C/4 or above

  • Training with Milton Keynes College
  • Ongoing training, support and development with the employer
