Job Description

This role sits within the Equity Research Division. We are looking to engage a versatile, charismatic, and adaptable Assistant who can hit the ground running and provide the highest level of support to our Business Unit Co-ordinator, management team and general support across the Department.

Responsibilities

A typical day

Support the BU Co-ordinator:

  • Assist in the on-boarding of new joiners to the department by applying for access to systems
  • Ensuring new joiner setups are completed
  • Be responsible for booking on-boarding meetings for all new joiners with key members of the department
  • Log tickets for issues across the department, such as phones, headsets, simple desk moves

Support the Management Team:

  • Be the main point of contact for external visitors and support them with any assistance they may need in the building
  • Keep a list of all visitors expected and which room they have booked and report weekly. To include external visitors and internal visitors from other regions
  • Assist in organizing department events

Support the Department more generally:

  • Assist the Executive Assistants/Super Sector Leads in booking complex travel
  • Be responsible for processing lengthy expense reports
  • Assist with telephone cover during absences across the department
  • Be the point person for department ‘walk-ups’ and questions
  • Build relationships with Floor Support and Corporate Services
  • Become a trusted advisor for those in the department

Future Prospects

After your Digital Business Accelerator apprenticeship, you can progress into further qualifications such as Level 4 Project Management, Software Engineering and Digital Marketing.

Skills Required

  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal & written skills
  • Good team-player with strong organisational skills
  • Resourceful self-starter who is consistent, reliable, a good timekeeper & enjoys taking initiative to deliver results with strong attention to detail
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Fantastic can-do attitude & commitment to deliver best service to the department
  • Calm, cheerful, but professional & resilient attitude, with the ability to problem solve

Qualifications Required

  • Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)

Training Provided

  • Business administrator Level 3
