Job Description

The riding stables is a long-established business situated in Hampshire taking pride in their reputation as a professional yet friendly and family orientated business and riding school. Level 2 or 3 equine apprenticeship available.

Responsibilities

There are several BHS qualified instructors and their own stable of horses and ponies which are suitable for all levels of experience. They also offer various livery packages including overnight and weekly livery available. There is ample parking for horse-boxes and trailers in the stable yard.
General duties will include:

  • Mucking out
  • Tacking up and cleaning tack
  • Turning out and bringing in
  • Field duties
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
  • Rug changing
  • Lunging and riding

Future Prospects

  • Possibility of Level 3 Horse Care Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2

Skills Required

  • Experience with horses is preferable
  • Good communication skills
  • Can work well in a team as well as individually
  • Uses initiative

Successful candidate will be:

  • Enthusiastic to further their learning within the quine industry

  • Willing to work outside in all weather

Qualifications Required

GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in maths and English or equivalent. Contact Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved - Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English

Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
