Our Environmental Engineering degree apprenticeship is a 4 year course where you will study towards a fully funded Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics. You will study for this qualification on a minimum of one day release per week, at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Environmental Engineering apprentices work in our experienced team to test our products so they can withstand the environments where they will be used. MBDA exports products across the globe and the role of the Environmental Engineering team is pivotal to ensure that our systems can withstand these conditions and operate as required, without fault.

You will learn how to collect and analyse data from trials, how to administer climate and shock tests as well as how to manage a project.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The degree is achieved through studying at the University of Hertfordshire on a day release basis during the programme.

You will also benefit from a comprehensive training programme that will help you understand the technical side of our business.

As well as this training you will also have residential courses, face to face training and online training to help you develop your strengths.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Through regular one to ones, development plans and the use of Mentors, you will have the opportunity to shape your career within the organisation. We have many senior members in the organisation that started life as an MBDA apprentice.
