Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be working in the Environmental Enforcement Team under Environment City Management. The team helps to educate members of the public and visitors, whilst preventing and enforcing environmental crimes.
Apprentices will gain knowledge in managing diaries, writing correspondence, managing data and systems, reporting, project work, liaising with colleagues and customers, understanding environmental legislation, how environmental crimes impact on the area and dealing with complaints.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The Standard at level 3 is run by Chichester College, who is responsible for supporting you with your learning and carrying out assessments. Your role will be linked to the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the apprenticeship standard and you will take an End Point Assessment before successfully completing. You will receive support from a nominated mentor, throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.
You will attend monthly workshops (face to face or online) and gain the Business Admin Level 3 standard.

Brighton and Hove City Council is one of the City's largest employers so further opportunities my be available in the service or wider across the council.
