Job Description

Milton Keynes Pressings Group is seeking to employ an Apprentice Engineering Design and Draughtsperson. This position will initially offer an insight into the wide ranging manufacturing processes employed within the group, such as high volume presswork, sheet metal laser cutting, brake press forming and a variety of welding operations.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

The Apprenticeship will require a good understanding of a variety of 3D CAD formats. The candidate will have the ability to develop, model and interpret 3D CAD models combined with the skills to generate basic 2D engineering drawings. Excellent attention to detail is required, with the ability to work with a number of departments to ensure customer demands are met.

  • Training with Milton Keynes College
  • Ongoing training, support and development with the employer

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A permanent position may be on offer upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship. There may also be other roles within the company.
