Job Description

The role offers a wide & exciting variety of opportunities in a range of Engineering disciplines. These will provide you with the opportunity to engage in a range of design and test activities, from performance analysis, reviewing evidence, writing specifications and contributing to the development of submarine structures, systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

During your Engineering Degree apprenticeship you will be given visibility of a range of engineering disciplines in which a personal development plan will be created for your learning and development needs associated with your role. This includes bespoke technical training along with engineering placements around the business. The following discipline specific apprenticeship roles are currently available and are supported by an associated level 6 degree apprenticeship:

The process consists of five stages:

  • An online application
  • Online testing
  • Video interview
  • Application review
  • Qualification, medical and security checks

The Apprentice recruitment window opened on the 1 November 2020 and remains open until 28 February 2021.

Depending on fulfilment of the requirements, the process can take until July/August to complete and final offers are made.

Qualifications Required

5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including maths, English and Science/technical subject. AND 240/96 UCAS points or equivalent (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level) to include maths plus one other STEM subject or an Extended BTEC National Diploma - DMM profile in an Engineering or computer discipline (Merit or above) which must include the Level 3 mathematics for IT module.

Engineering level 6 qualification with integrated Honours Degree associated with your given engineering discipline on the list above E.G Electrical Engineering - Level 6 Degree apprenticeship in electrical engineering with integrated BEng with Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering etc.
