Job Description

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic individual looking to broaden your mind by joining the Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship Programme? This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate individual who is willing to develop their skills and knowledge across Veolia in Dagenham.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Carrying out routine inspections, service plant and equipment in accordance with a planned preventative maintenance programme.
  • Carrying out minor plant modifications including assisting with the commissioning of new plant and machinery.
  • Assisting with updating site risk assessments.
  • Assisting engineers in carrying out their duties (PPM or repairs) including skirting and roller replacement.
  • Supporting with maintenance continuous improvement projects at Dagenham Veolia plastics and Rainham site.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you’ll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as a  Level 3 Technical (Knowledge) Certificate BTEC In Engineering, NVQ Level 3 (Competency) in Engineering & Working Safety (H&S) Certificate.

Upon successfully completing your apprenticeship the options are endless. You could continue to develop your career by choosing to obtain further qualifications, develop and improve your management and leadership skills or even move across the different areas of the business to pursue a career in your chosen field.

Reality Check

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role as you will be required to travel to our Rainham site.
