Electrical Maintenance Apprentice
You will complete a comprehensive 3 Year programme in Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma in Engineering Maintenance.
Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Carry out basic electrical isolations when required
- Carry out routine inspections and service plant and equipment in accordance with planned preventative maintenance programme
- Carry out minor plant modifications including pump and pipeline installation and assist with the commissioning of new plant and machinery
- Carry out all repairs and modifications in accordance with required standards
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
- Assist with the maintenance of and updating of site risk assessments
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner including shift reports and recording of maintenance carried out
- Ensure that any remedial actions required after breakdown are carried out accordingly
- Adhere to the maintenance program for all site equipment and machinery
- Manufacturing, testing and packing the product line
- Picking and packing of spare parts orders
- Servicing and overhaul of equipment returned from customers sites. (There is also potential for servicing work to be carried out at customer’s sites in the future)
- General stock control of all items necessary for the production area to operate efficiently
- Ensuring all quality and production documents and records are maintained
- Performing any other duties reasonably requested by management

Qualifications Required
5 GCSE grade A*-C or grades 4-9 (or equivalent) including maths, English and Science.
Training Provided
Advanced level Engineering Technician standard.
The Year one maintenance programme delivered at the AMRC Training Centre over a 26 week full time block programme will include the following compulsory units:
- Handling over and confirming completion of maintenance activities
- Carrying out fault diagnosis on engineered systems
- carrying out preventative planned maintenance on engineered systems
- Maintaining mechanical equipment
- Maintaining electrical equipment
