What will the apprentice be doing?
Supporting the learning of individuals and groups of children under the supervision of the class teacher. To be the key person for a small number of children. Supporting meal and snack times. Assist the class teacher in planning for the needs of the class and individuals and groups of children and the assessment of their learning and development. Work well as part of the class team.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
A full induction. School based training and INSET, opportunities to visit and observe in other classes, safeguarding, health and safety training are mandatory, off the job training to focus on course requirements
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
They would be qualified EY educator and could seek empolyment in this role or further education towards Early Years Teacher Status
