Job Description

Early Years Educators are highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. They work in a range of settings and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements set for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Key person responsibility to help ensure each child feels safe and secure
Observes each child and shapes their learning experience
Personal care
Set up activities and tidy away
Nursery is kept clean and tidy
Helping out at meal times
Greeting parents and children
Ensuring any relevant paperwork is completed
Changing nappies and feeding
Work with children in the nursery, individually and in groups
Attend training sessions and meetings
Other general duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Training is online with PEAK apprenticeships. Apprentices will have weekly zoom sessions online with a tutor. Apprentices will also have a mentor in the nursery who will assist them in their apprenticeship journey.


Apprentices will finish with a Level 3 Early Educators Award and paedriatic first aid certificate.
