Job Description

The Yellow Door Day Nursery is currently looking for experienced level 3 early years practitioners. Our favourite type of people are happy, outgoing, friendly, funny and imaginative. We need someone who thinks nothing of collecting milk top lids and lollipop sticks ready for the perfect construction project.

The Yellow Door Day Nursery is currently looking for experienced level 3 early years practitioners. Our favourite type of people are happy, outgoing, friendly, funny and imaginative. We need someone who thinks nothing of collecting milk top lids and lollipop sticks ready for the perfect construction project.

Has the best snake voice when reading The Gruffalo to a group of mesmerised children. The ideal person will also have a secret talent in doing all the actions to ‘Grand old Duke of York’ whilst moving the outdoor play equipment. The successful candidate will also know a great play dough  recipe to help celebrate each one of the seasons.

A normal day would include:

  • Meeting and greeting families
  • Listening to children’s stories of awe and wonder
  • Getting messy
  • Reading stories
  • Cleaning up after meals, with a smile on your face
  • Singing songs whilst carrying out caring duties
  • Making the ordinary exciting and interesting
  • Coming up with new teaching ideas with your team
  • Completing observations and snapshots of learning

Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role.

Qualities Required

To be of a smiley pleasant disposition, keen to learn and develop.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.

A Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) would be looked upon favourably.

Training Provided

Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
