Job Description

To provide a safe environment for children. They must also make sure the children have the chance to take part in stimulating activities, appropriate for their age.

Responsibilities

Duties to include:

  • Offering basic care, feeding, washing hands and faces
  • Changing nappies and making up bottles for babies
  • Encouraging children to learn through play
  • Leading activities such as drawing, painting and games
  • Supervising children on trips out
  • Discussing each child's needs with his or her parents regularly
  • Keeping a daily dairy
  • To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress

Training Provided

Early Years Practitioner standard:

  • Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer Rosie and Jim's Childcare will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day
  • If successful, you will complete an Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship programme delivered through Rosie and Jim's Childcare's dedicated training provider, Inspire Learning & Employment
