What will the apprentice be doing?
Candidates undertaking Advanced Apprenticeships receive both 'off-the-job' and 'on-the-job' training.
A typical working day will be supporting either site based or regional office teams with all aspects of Project Controls such as
- Developing work breakdown structures
- Managing data
- Estimating
- Scheduling and Planning
- Monitoring progress and performance and analysing data
- Forecasting
Other duties may included attending client and interbal progress meetings.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Project Control covers estimating, cost control, planning and commercial support. The course covers the effective use of IT in:
- Project control
- Monitoring risks
- Reviewing contingencies
- Effectively applying quality assurance
- You will also learn how to prepare budgets
- Programmes and schedules
- Carry out cost control
- Calculate financial outcomes
- Calculate completion data
