Job Description

Are you software savvy with a passion for tech? Established in 1887, brewery consultants, Murphy & Son are looking for a Digital Guru to help the organisation create efficiencies through the use of technology! As well as supporting your colleagues with generic IT queries, you will also support with the implementation and roll-out of new software.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?



With the support of the external
IT Support company, your duties may include:

Responding to 1st
Line IT Support ticket, e.g. password resets, connecting printers

·
Help to Implement IT
ticketing system

·
Help colleagues to
effectively use tools such as SharePoint, Office365, Sage HR

·
Identify opportunities
to create efficiencies using technology

·
Create user guides for
digital applications, e.g. digital sign-in system

·
Take ownership of
display monitors showing stats

·
Maintain IT asset
register

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Digital Support
Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:



Your apprenticeship
training will be a blend of interactive online classroom delivery and face to
face teaching in the hub.



You will attend sessions
as per the delivery schedule issued to you prior to your first day of the
apprenticeship.



Your 15 month apprenticeship
will consist of compiling a digital portfolio, knowledge exams and an End Point
Assessment.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is a full time
opportunity available at the end of the apprenticeship for someone who can
demonstrate technical knowledge, initiative and a willingness to learn along
the way..
