Job Description

UK Power Networks are recruiting a Level 3 Digital Support Technician (ST0120) Apprentice for their Technical Training team. Technical Training are a vital business area in UK Power Networks, keeping the business moving by ensuring that staff are equipped with the right skills, competencies and training to safely work on the electricity network.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

This role will be specifically providing digital support to the Digital Learning Team who develop the digital content and support digital training solutions within the organisation. This will include designing and developing e-Learning content for training courses, producing short videos and media content to bring training to life, and creating virtual reality training material.

  • Maximise the effective use of digital office technologies, productivity software, digital communications, including collaborative technologies and digital information systems to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and apply digital technologies across the business functions to maximise productivity.
  • Support and implement these digital operations and digital transformation.
  • Support service users through online and digital channels, developing approaches to meet customer needs, deflect traditional face to face learning and to reduce costs.
  • Production of reports and data analysis.
  • Handling of confidential learner information.
  • Accurate data entry into databases in line with Data Protection rules.
  • Handling of confidential learner information.
  • Operate internal Learning Management system (LMS) to manage learner training plans. (Full training will be provided).
  • Proactively support team.
  • Monitoring completion of e-learning modules and resolve queries and exemptions.
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Individuals will be trained on internal process and systems as well as working towards a Level 3 Digital Support Technician (ST0120) apprenticeship

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Apprentices could go on to a variety of roles within the company.
