Digital Support Engineer Apprentice - Advanced (Level 3)

myAPPetite are looking for a technical-savvy apprentice who has a professional, customer friendly approach and who is keen to learn and join a fast-growing company. Full training will be given to the successful candidate, so a determined professional who is eager to learn and put their training into action is essential.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

On a daily basis you will be:

Inputting food and drinks data into MyAppetites’s bespoke software.

Transferring the data onto myAPPetite’s EPOS systems (digital tills) or customers own branded websites and Apps.

Visiting customer sites, initially with the Support Engineer until fully trained and competent, to install EPOS systems.

 Providing customers with a demonstration and basic training on the EPOS system.

Being the customer's point of contact for troubleshooting any issues and making any amendments to the  EPOS system either remotely or on the customers site.

Answering the telephone and emails to respond to customer support queries.

Training will be provided internally for the role, in order to allow the candidate to build up their knowledge and confidence to then implement their knowledge and program and install. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Digital Support Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard: 

 

Qualification together with on site training by the employer.

For those starting at Advanced (Level 3), the expected duration would be 15 month plus 3 months End point assessment stage)

There is an opportunity to progress on to the Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) and ultimately on to a Degree Apprenticeship.

Reality Check

A driving license is desirable, although not essential. On very rare occasions you may be required to assist with installations after 5pm. A rota for out-of-offices support is in place until 9pm, however calls after five or the weekend are very rare.
