Vertu Motors PLC is the 5th largest motor retailer in the UK, launching in 2006 it also trades under the names of Bristol Street Motors and Macklin Motors along with several other ancillary entities. The role overview:

Here at Vertu Motors, we believe there's a better way to buy a vehicle. We live and breathe all things automotive, which is why we made it our mission to make the experience of buying a car, van or motorbike as straight-forward as possible.

We have a full end-to-end in-house marketing department to give you a strong foundation for your career in digital marketing. This apprenticeship will provide you with industry experience from one of the biggest companies in the North East alongside an Advanced Level 3 qualification in Digital Marketing.

During your apprenticeship you will get the opportunity to broaden your experience and knowledge of marketing by working across different functions in the marketing department.

Main Duties:

In this apprenticeship you will exposed to many areas of Marketing this will include (but won’t be limited to):

  • Digital advertising
  • PPC
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Display advertising
  • Digital Product and Web management
  • Website performance
  • Campaign support & tracking
  • Third party advertising
  • Competitor analysis
  • Digital brand management
  • Social media management

Desired skills and Personal qualities:

We are looking for a bright, self-motivated candidate with a can do attitude.

The following skills would be beneficial:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Analytical skills
  • Knowledge of common social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • The learner must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

Monday – Friday – 37.5hrs a week.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
