Job Description

Warwickshire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice to join our busy and friendly marketing and communications team. We provide a high-quality marketing and communications service to promote council services. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in media and marketing.

What will the apprentice be doing?

In this role you'll work in the Marketing and Communications team and learn how to support a variety of aspects of communications, including advertising campaigns, social media and writing news releases and articles. You'll also specifically be supporting promotion for the Warwickshire House Project – a service that supports young care leavers to help develop and learn life skills and independence before moving to a sustainable home that provides a secure base for them to thrive.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Full training will be provided for all parts of this role by the Comms and Marketing Team. Upon completion you'll gain the Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship and the CIM Level 3 award in Digital Fundamentals with the support of our training partner Warwickshire College, who deliver a blended learning programme of workshops and regular assignment work. We also offer a range of internal training opportunities which as an apprentice you'll be able to take full advantage of.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

By the end of the apprenticeship you'll be given the opportunity to apply for a further role within the Councils' Comms and Marketing Team, subject to performance and role availability. If a position is not available, you will be given lots of support in order to be redeployed into another Council service.
