Doctors of the World are looking for a hard-working and creative new member of the team to join as their Digital Marketing and Fundraising Apprentice. This role will be a crucial part of the Development team, engaging the public through social media platforms and working to optimise social engagement and web traffic.


Duties to include:

  • Operate our social media platforms to deliver key messages
  • Report on key social media metrics - post engagement, follower growth etc. and make recommendations which optimise audience engagement and growth
  • Develop, maintain and promote fundraising content on the web, email and social media channels e.g. Facebook ads, Google AdWords
  • Work with our digital agency in devising a digital plan and strategy Implementing digital campaigns and petitions for advocacy, fundraising, or building the brand
  • Ensure that the website is up to date with key messages and content
  • Report on key website metrics, to identify trends and insights
  • Making sure that all content is optimised for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
  • Work on growing our supporter base and develop tests, and segmentation approaches. Undertaking analysis of results and using these to optimise supporter engagement
  • Make recommendations for innovative and new activities which that will achieve campaign success and KPIs
  • Coordinate with other relevant teams in the creation and development of newsletter and email campaigns

Future Prospects

After your Digital Marketing apprenticeship progress into a full-time Specialist, Executive or Associate in: Social Media, Digital Marketing, Communications & PR, Data & Insights Analysis, SEO, PPC, Content Management or Writing and more.

Skills Required

  • You have impeccable written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications Required

Five GCSE grades C - A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and maths.

Training Provided

  • Training on the 18 month Standard Level 3 Digital Marketer (DM3]) apprenticeship and Functional Skills if required 
  • Being a WhiteHat apprentice means access to awesome social events, sports teams, insight/career days with other apprentices to grow your network, as well as your own personal Coach who will guide you through the qualification to help you achieve your full potential
  • As part of your WhiteHat Apprenticeship, you will have access to our Future Leaders Foundation modules to develop 6 key competencies, underpinned by well-being, self-awareness, motivation, conscientiousness, effectiveness and grit
