You will gain marketing, alumni and administration experience, whilst studying for a degree in Digital Marketing. At the end of the degree, you will have a permanent role in the Marketing Team with a responsibility for supporting digital marketing and alumni communication.

Responsibilities

The postholder will undertake the following duties, although these may change to change.

Digital Marketing:

  • Work under the direction of the Admissions, Marketing and Engagement Manager to develop digital communications, advertising, public relations, publicity, sponsorship, exhibitions and campaigns with employers
  • Increase online branding and awareness of East Norfolk Sixth Form College and ENMAT as a Trust amongst employers using effective digital tools
  • Develop new, innovative and creative digital marketing tactics/strategies and techniques to support the enhanced digital presence of the College
  • Review the digital marketing and online communications offered by the college to positively influence organisational decision making and the engagement of employers and other stakeholders with the College
  • Produce and support the analysis of the impact of the College’s digital marketing
  • Introducing and reviewing employer behaviour in relation to digital interactions with East Norfolk
  • Developing new channels of digital communication and reviewing their effectiveness

Alumni and destinations:

  • Be responsible for the digital promotion and marketing of the alumni campaign
  • Create target campaigns with the support of the Admissions, Marketing and Engagement Manager to increase awareness of the positive destinations of East Norfolk alumni
  • Maintain and increase the alumni database of former students for public relations and promotional purposes
  • Collect and update College systems with the latest destinations data information making links between former students, employers and the current work-related learning team

Reception Administration:

  • To provide Evening Reception cover whilst collecting destination and alumni information from 4.30 pm until 7.00 pm Mon-Thurs whilst telephoning former students and alumni to develop East Norfolk’s knowledge of positive destinations
  • To be part of the team for Reception duties and cover during the day in non-term time periods
  • Updating software systems with destinations information that will be used for monitoring and inspection purposes

Future Prospects

At the end of the 3-year apprenticeship, the postholder will have a permanent role in the Marketing Team, with a responsibility for supporting digital marketing and alumni communication.

Skills Required

Essential:

  • Understanding of Inclusion and Safeguarding 
  • Understanding of professional boundaries     
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Good IT and creative skills
  • Good telephone manner and able to communicate well with external stakeholders by telephone, online and in writing

Desirable:

  • Knowledge or understanding of business studies or marketing
  • Knowledge or understanding of working or volunteering in an educational environment
  • Experience of working or volunteering in educational environments

Qualities Required

  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Desire to progress within digital marketing
  • Able to work independently and without supervision in the evenings on Reception

Qualifications Required

96-112 UCAS Tariff points. Equivalent to minimum of 3 A Levels (grades C/4, equivalent and above). BTEC National Diploma MMM (3 Merits), Successful completion of Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship. Minimum of 5 GCSEs with GCSE maths and English at C/4, equivalent and above.

Training Provided

The successful candidate will undertake a Degree Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing with Anglia Ruskin University

Successful completion of the 3-year degree will lead to a BSc (Hons) award in Digital Marketing. The apprenticeship will be delivered by blended learning, which is a combination of online distance-learning and in-person teaching and learning.
