Job Description

A unique chance to both train and work as an Apprentice Digital Marketer with Stamford College. As well as developing the skills required for the position, you will also complete the Apprenticeship Standard which comprises Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours that must be demonstrated and achieved prior to the EPA.

Responsibilities

Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following areas:

  • Maintain Marketing administration, supporting and monitoring marketing activities and job requests. Ensuring team objectives are met accurately and to deadline
  • Support student recruitment events, both internally and externally and all the associated administration of these including planning and communicating with colleagues regarding attendance and objectives, advertising booking, mail shots and publicity
  • Support the Marketing Officer in sourcing good news stories and collating case studies for use in publications, on the website, press releases, social media and competition/award entries
  • Attend College and external organisations’ events (which may entail evening attendance at certain times of the year for which time off in lieu will be agreed), acting as ambassador for the College and upholding it values and standards at all times
  • Use a range of IT software packages to design, produce and update various documents, databases, mailing lists, social media content
  • Regularly update the College website and liaise with colleagues to ensure the information is accurate and correct, ensuring the highest of standards of language and grammar
  • Assist the design of new publications by liaising with departments, designers and printers with regard to briefs, content, proofs and quotes
  • Monitor levels of printed publications and other merchandise. This includes reporting on stock levels to ensure adequate levels are maintained
  • Research and keep-up-to-date with new marketing tools and cost saving initiatives, implementing budget savings where possible
  • Uphold and promote College policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work and also the College’s Equal Opportunities policy and procedure at all times
  • Work flexibly to meet agreed deadlines and targets, as and when required

Successful achievement of this apprenticeship has the potential to offer long-term permanent employment within the group.

Reality Check

Applications would be welcomed from candidates with work experience in administration and customer focused environments, however previous experience is not essential to apply.

  • A good working knowledge and demonstrable competence of Outlook and word-processing (typing)

  • To be able to recognise and implement the need for professional confidentiality

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) including English Language and mathematics
  • AS or A Level desirable
