Job Description

To support the creation and delivery of innovative digital promotions, communications and campaigns to benefit the city and its businesses together with assistance in all communications activity related to the BID.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To support the delivery of the strategic marketing plans (B2B and B2C) for BID 3
  • To support the delivery of the social media plan for Worcester BID in conjunction with the BID team and any contracted creative agency
  • To support the development and delivery of an engagement plan including events, seasonal dressing (planters, lights, bunting etc.) and seasonal campaigns in line with the BID Business Plan and strategic marketing plan. Ensuring events and campaigns benefit Worcester City Centre and its businesses
  • To support the content creation for BID publications, ensuring engagement and promotion of all BID sectors and geographical areas
  • To support the promotion of all BID projects and activities to levy payers, the consumer and partners using appropriate media (e.g. the BID website, social media, newsletters and visits in person)
  • To support the preparation of appropriate reports, research papers and evaluation to keep the Board up-to-date on progress, and to identify opportunities allowing the Board to make informed, appropriate and timely decisions
  • To support the analysis of monthly stats on business engagement, social media numbers and value for money using this analysis to inform future campaigns, projects and events
  • To support all areas of BID activity as required
  • To ensure that all engagement and activity with BID businesses is recorded accurately on CRM System
  • To ensure that all activity complies with GDPR and Data protection Act 2018
  • To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training activities
  • To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job, whether that be on-the-job training, in-house training or external training courses
  • To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post and as detailed in the organisation’s Health and Safety Policy
  • To act as an ambassador of Worcester BID and promote the brand; displaying a positive image to customers and members of the public at all times

Future Prospects

  • Scope for a longer term role subject to satisfactory progress of the candidate and if budget limitations allow

Skills Required

  • Excellent communicator, with strong motivation and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the Marketing and communication field especially digital media skills
  • Familiarity with database input and data analysis
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience of customer-facing activity is preferred but not neccessary

  • Ability to communicate effectively, positively, and politely; both orally and in writing and present the relevant information in a clear and useful way
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative but take direction when required
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt communication style with fluidity
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of the wider BID team in an effective manner
  • Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills
  • Common sense approach with an ability to weigh the value of information and assess its value
  • Flexible to adapt to the changing priorities of the BID and or the daily work situation
  • Able to represent the BID’s work to all BID businesses in a clear and highly professional way

Qualifications Required

  • Good GCSE grades especially in English Marketing and Media Studies quaifications where appropriate
