What will the apprentice be doing?
In this very varied home and office based role you will:
- Work as part of a supportive team using cutting-edge cloud technologies to develop, maintain and update the systems we rely on for efficient and uninterrupted work.
- Use remote access tools to provide timely support to your colleagues.
- Work with project teams creating innovative solutions for our customers.
- Help develop the Institute’s systems and processes to ensure continued Cyber Essentials PLUS accreditation.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will work towards a BSc (Honours) Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions (Level 6) through the Open University’s Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship Programme, specialising in Software Engineering, Cyber Security or Data Analysis. You will study remotely, with 2 half days of your working week dedicated to study time.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As a graduate Digital Solutions Engineer, you will use the skills and experience acquired in your apprenticeship to take the lead in understanding and exploiting new digital technologies. Your Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Analyst and Network Engineer skills will be applied across the company to ensure a secure infrastructure, robust and responsive internal business systems and innovative products for our customers.
