Job Description

PETA Ltd are looking to recruit a customer focussed Demand Coordinator Apprentice for a leading health and beauty company. If you have experience in customer service with strong ICT skills, please apply today!

Responsibilities

Reporting to the NPI & Demand Manager, the Demand Coordinator Apprentice will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding level of Customer Service is delivered to our Customers, managing the repeat business of a set of nominated accounts and will provide support to the NPI & Demand Manager and Commercial Director in delivering sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role is focussed externally in dealing with the customer and internally liaising with all departments to manage and drive forward the achievement of customer requirements. Predominantly this is an office-based role but may require some customer visits.

Following training, the key duties of the Demand Coordinator Apprentice are as follows:

  • Manage customer demand for nominated customers into Laleham Health and Beauty, being responsible for associated systems to ensure customer delivery, on time and in full
  • Process sales orders ensuring they meet agreed prices and lead times
  • Liaise with appropriate Account Managers on specific delivery challenges or requirements / complaints or quality issues
  • Ensure all internal systems and personnel are consistently updated with promised delivery dates
  • Manage all system activity with relation to amended Customer delivery addresses
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain department to achieve customer delivery dates and establish priorities daily
  • Represent the customer and participate in daily planning meetings, working with the Supply Chain Team to resolve any issues
  • Highlight any exceptions and issues to the appropriate Account Manager, with an escalation point of the Senior Demand Coordinator or NPI & Demand Manager
  • Proactively manage orders through to completion via cross departmental interaction
  • Proactively manage any issues directly with the customer as part of day to day interaction
  • Provide weekly order book reconciliation for nominated customers
  • Manage customer order books ensuring housekeeping activities are up to date (at all times):
  1. Run customer stock reports according to customer requirements
  2. Manage customer returns and/or disposals
  3. Run monthly reports on finished goods with no demand, and arrange appropriate resolution
  4. Review and maintain customer lead time schedule and advise as appropriate
  • Run a variety of monthly reports, and issue as appropriate to the team and the rest of the business
  • Work closely with the NPI Project Managers in the management of all NPI orders, reporting issues to the Project Managers immediately
  • Attend and participate in Project meetings and pre and postproduction meetings where necessary
  • Carry out any other associated projects and duties as determined by the NPI & Demand Manager

Skills Required

The ideal Demand Coordinator Apprentice will have an excellent understanding of the importance of both internal and external customer care and the means by which it is achieved. They will also:

  • Be accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Have good interpersonal skills at all levels of the business both internally and externally

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE maths and English grades A*-C / 4-9 or Level 2 equivalent

Training Provided

This position is offered as an apprenticeship and you will be completing:

  • Level 3 Business Administration qualification

You will be employed directly by the client but be supported every step of the way by PETA.

The majority of your training will be completed with your employer at your place of work however, throughout the duration of the apprenticeship you will be required to attend one of our PETA training centres for off the job training.
