Responsibilities
- Design a regional data collection around hospital-based outbreaks – working with the COVID administrative teams, agree what data requires collecting, designing a form for collection and the backend to collate the returning information
- Developing a storyboard presentation for a healthcare community on a clinical pathway - that includes data from a wide range of sources and sets out the key messages
- Summarise a set of data, to be regularly updated, to show how a region compares to others clinical areas, covering spend, efficiency, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction
- Consider and respond to the impact of COVID on various services
- Generating graphs and tables from various data sets
- Producing business intelligence reports
- Log, analyse and manage problems in order to identify and implement the appropriate solution, ensuring that the problem is fixed
- Interpretation of data, statistics, evaluation, or simple modelling or forecasting as needed
- Discussing and assessing priorities with end users and customers
- Maintaining, cleansing and exploration of data on various databases
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across our team and the wider organisation
Future Prospects
- After your Data Analysis Apprenticeship, you can progress into any Junior Data Analyst, Data Scientist and Data engineer role
- You'll have the skills to run insight analytical projects from beginning to end and work within a Data Analytics team
Skills Required
- You are inquisitive and methodical in applying analytical skills
- You have a high attention to detail
- Use a mix of SQL, VBA, R & Tableau to work directly with large data sets and produce analysis at scale
Qualities Required
- You need to be able to work to a deadline, fulfilling your role as part of a team
- Great communication skills
- Great problem solving skills - you are an active listener and ask for clarification when building a solution
Qualifications Required
- Five GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, including English and maths
- Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)
