Job Description

Cleansing Service Group is a growing hazardous waste treatment site. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Apprentice to join their national, award winning company.

Responsibilities

Purpose of the role:

  • To provide sales, operational and administrative support to the operational depot
  • Ensure compliance with the Group’s Health and Safety policy and behaviours
  • Demonstrate CSG performance behaviours

Role Accountabilities:

  • To provide administrative support to the PGF/Contracts Division
  • Update in-house computer database and operating system as appropriate with all relevant data
  • Provide operational and administrative support which include day to day administration tasks, answering inbound calls and emails, generation of quotations and following them through to order stage and the handling of any complaints and acting on them accordingly
  • Ensure all aspect of the order process are followed, booking transport, booking disposal, generation of compliment paperwork and labels if required
  • Liaise with the Accounts depot to resolve invoice queries
  • Raise appropriate paperwork for all contracts under the responsibility of the division
  • Monitor and update administrative systems for both businesses including contract expiries and price reviews
  • Provide administrative support on ad hoc tasks as requested
  • Ensure customer confidentiality within all tasks
  • Assist with the completion of all the relevant tasks for ‘end of month’ within the timescale given for the division
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with all sections of the business to meet tasks, deadlines and agreed customers SLAs & KPIs
  • Take ownership of customer calls and orders distributing to relevant sections of the business
  • Coordinate other calls and activities as required or requested
  • Holiday and Sickness cover for rest of administration team

Future Prospects

  • Full training will be given in this challenging and varied role to ensure that the apprentice has the skills and expertise to become a permanent member of the team upon completion of the apprenticeship programme
  • Upon completion the salary will increase to £18,000 per annum

Qualifications Required

  • Maths and English at Grade 4/C (or equivalent) and above desirable although not essential

Training Provided

Customer Service Level 2 Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard:

  • This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college
  • The successful candidate will be allocated a tutor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits
