Overview:

We are looking for a Consumer Insight Apprentice to help ensure the voice of the customer is at the heart of key strategic decisions.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Data Essentials Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Working with the Senior Consumer Insight Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in delivering insight across Myprotein, Myvitamins and Myvegan, working with all aspects of the business from Brand and Marketing to the local trading teams.

Responsibilities will include:

  • First and foremost, the role will focus on the day-to-day management of the Myprotein Community. This is our private space were 2,000 customers in the UK & US take part in regular research tasks, like surveys, discussions and focus groups, and also interact with each other similar to a forum.
  • This involves daily moderation and conversations with customers about the topic at hand, as well as administrative roles such as ensuring positive community health, recruiting new customers to the community and rewarding customers for their participation.
  • It will also involve learning how to write surveys, upload them to Alchemer or SurveyMonkey (our two survey platforms), how to analyse data sets, and how to write reports based on this data. Essentially, learning how to oversee research from start to finish.
  • The role also requires championing the Community within the business, looking for ways to promote it as a research tool, and ensure we’re utilising the resource in the best way possible. This can involve speaking to stakeholders about new briefs or delivering insight them with actionable recommendations.
  • It also involves looking for new and innovative ways to drive recruitment and participation to the Community, to ensure its continued success.
  • There are also opportunities to learn the market research processes for ad hoc projects, e.g. one-off surveys that focus on consumers outside of our database, or on supporting the delivery of our brand tracker and learning the fundamentals of ongoing research.

What we are looking for:

Skills and qualities:

  • An interest in Sports Nutrition and Fitness would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of the principles of market research, with a desire to gain experience in both the quantitative and qualitative space
  • Desire to take on a role with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, including management of tactical projects from start to finish
  • Desire to learn how to work from brief, through research design and fieldwork, to analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Keen to develop a skill in presenting
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Good communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately
  • Team player, able to work with multiple business units to achieve objectives
  • Able to effectively prioritise workload and manage multiple projects at once
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint would be an advantage

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

£18,000 per annum.

Working week:

37.5hrs a week.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
