Job Description

This exciting apprenticeship is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and interacting with customers at our distribution Centre in Redditch. The ideal person will want to learn about vehicle parts and provide a great service to our customers. We are seeking ambitious people who are keen to develop and work with our excellent brand.


Working within the Supply Chain Team, you will be involved in providing a best in class customer service to Valeo Service UK Customers (internal and external). The role will also include working within a multi-functional team where you will gain administration experience, as well as practical business experience.

Duties will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service by answering incoming telephone calls and email. Responding to all enquiries promptly and ensuring a same day follow up to manage expectations
  • Ensuring the internal communication is of a high standard giving as much data as possible to ensure an efficient and effective transfer of the task if necessary. Supporting external sales team when required
  • Building working relationships with designated accounts and other contacts to ensure confidence in Valeo products and services
  • Customer care and logistics administration including but not limited to: logging calls, claims, customer complaints in the CSO portal in line with the Departments KPI’s, providing reports for the Sales Team and general ad hoc administration
  • Obtaining an understanding of the SAP system to provide customers with accurate stock / delivery information
  • Processing customer orders and queries in the SAP system accurately via phone, fax, edi or promotion in an efficient manner. Ensuring quality checks are applied to each order
  • Exposure to processing exceptional demand management
  • Ensuring accurate loading on SAP and customer communication provided is accurate
  • Managing all aspects of the customer’s backorders, deleting or running reports where necessary and informing Supply chain & Business Development Managers of large cancellations
  • Working as one team and ensuringthe Customer Care & Logistics Supervisor is kept fully up-dated of any problems, either internally or externally including tasks set and not completed
  • Learning, understanding and actively taking part in the Quality process to promote a zero defect mind-set

Future Prospects

  • The aim will be for you to join the team as a permanent member of staff and further develop your career on successful completion of the apprenticeship, if a suitable position is available

Reality Check

  • Completing Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship will be via on the job learning as well as off the job workshops and assessor visits
  • You will be required to travel to Heart of Worcestershire College Redditch campus as part of your apprenticeship training
