What will the apprentice be doing?
Murphy Plant are looking for Lifting Operator Apprentices operating Crawler cranes. To operate a crawler crane is to lift and place a variety of loads in the workplace safely and in line with industry and company best practice. This role plays a vital part in supporting site projects by having responsibility for operating the crawler crane in order to lift materials and equipment to designated work areas on a construction site.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training will be carried out at CITB premises and this will be on a block release basis. You will be living away from home during this time, accomodation and travel to college will be paid for.
You will gain a Level 2 Lifting Technician qualification.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
From here you can progress onto various site based skill sets and become more technically qualified in your craft.
