Job Description

Are you methodical, forward-thinking and keen to learn a wide range of electrical and mechanical engineering skills alongside experts? Cereal Partners UK's Engineering Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to learn, develop and progress as part of a dedicated team in one of our factories, working with some of the UK's most-loved brands.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

A three-year programme that’s going to show you more than you ever imagined you could learn. Your fresh ideas will help us to improve what we have, to innovate and to keep our world-class manufacturing operations moving forward.

Duties may include but wouldn't be limited to developing skills in mechanical fitting, turning, welding, isolation, problem solving, planned maintenance, root cause analysis and coaching others.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

On top of your in-role training, you will learn at college, too. During your first two years, you’ll undertake different college modules and cover key topics to get you thinking, learning about and understanding manufacturing. All this will help you become an agile learner and a resilient performer. Oh, and let’s not forget the Level 3 Food & Drink Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship qualification you’ll take away with you. If ever there was a reason to feel proud – this is it.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We are looking to set you up for an exciting and varied career at Cereal Partners with extensive opportunities to continue your learning and development following completion of your Apprenticeship. Our previous apprentices have gone from Technician roles to become Engineering Specialists, Maintenance Managers, Project Engineers and Engineering Managers looking after teams of people and multi-million pound budgets.
