What will the apprentice be doing?
You will work alongside a Site Foreman and be responsible for the completion of designated tasks on site under the supervision of the Site Foreman, ensuring the works are completed without harm to people, the environment and targeting zero defects. You will learn from the site experience and gain knowledge and understanding in how work is constructed, organised and controlled.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
A Construction Operative (Groundworker) Apprentice role is an initial step into a career in Civil Engineering and Construction. It is the opportunity to gain a Level 2 Groundworker Qualification and Apprenticeship delivered by CITB. As an Apprentice you will attend college at the CITB National Construction College at Bircham Newton, Norfolk. You will be required to live away at the college in 3-6 week blocks.
