Job Description

To assist the School Cook in providing a high quality catering service to the School in accordance with the Rosewood Free School Policy and to maintain standards and qualities in the School Kitchen.


Responsible To:

This post reports to the School Cook.

The post holder will, at all times carry
out his / her duties in accordance with the policies of the Solent Special
Education Trust.

Duties and Responsibilities

a) To assist the School Cook to prepare
and serve School meals to meet specifications as defined by Rosewood Free

b) To undertake basic cooking of food
and required by the School Cook to the standards specified by the School.

c) To undertake general washing up,
clearing away and cleaning duties.

d) To understand and work within set
guidelines regarding current health, safety and hygiene regulations, and the
School’s Health and Safety Policy.

e) To undertake the job training as per
the Apprenticeship Agreement.

f) Any other duties commensurate with
the responsibilities of the post and grade which may be required by the
School Cook, Deputy Headteacher or Headteacher.

g) Commitment to the Beliefs and Aims of
the SSET Trust.
