Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef to join our kitchen at the Red Lion restaurant & bar to assist in creating wonderful dishes inspired by local and seasonal products.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will work in a close-knit team and be a proactive individual that is willing to learn and develop their current skills, as well as being dedicated to preparing a high standard of food.

A vacancy is available for a Commis chef to assist the Head Chef in all areas of the kitchen.

You will;

  • Prepare and cook ingredients
  • Maintaining high levels of service
  • Assist in stock control and rotation
  • Ensure minimum wastage
  • Keep all areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination, complying with all company policies and procedures including the Food hygiene, Healthy, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and any other reasonable duties required by the Head Chef or owners
