Job Description

Are you passionate about food and looking to train and grow as a Chef? Maybe you are new to the industry or looking to start your career in hospitality? Why not consider joining our team as part of our Apprenticeship Programme?

Responsibilities

Working under the direction of the Head/Sous Chef with an expectation to work independently at times, demonstrating ownership and initiative.

You’ll be encouraged to input and have ownership in the kitchen, you’ll be preparing dishes for staff and guests but you’ll also have opportunities to develop and be trained with progression in mind. You can bring yourself to work everyday, demonstrating your enthusiasm for food, cooking and commitment to high quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene
  • Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef
  • Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
  • Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
  • Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
  • Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
  • Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
  • Washing, peeling, chopping, covering prep on all sections of the kitchen
  • Learn cooking standards and to grow menu and produce knowledge
