We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef Apprentice to join our brigade. If you have no previous experience but bags of passion for cooking, our commis chef apprenticeship will give you your moment to shine!

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be trained on every section within the kitchen (larder, sauce, pastry) all products are made on site to the highest standard possible using classic techniques with a modern twist using seasonal & foraged items.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
  • Assisting other Chefs
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking
  • Assisting with stock rotation / Cleaning stations
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards

Training Provided

For the full apprenticeship, candidates will complete:

Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard

  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required
  • College attendance at Bletchley College
  • Ongoing training and support from both employer and college
  • Regular visits into the workplace
  • Know it, live it, show it
  • End point assessment
