We currently have opportunities within our Procurement Team and we are looking to recruit two talented & motivated individuals to join us as Procurement Apprentices. You do not need any experience – just an interest in procurement and supply, a passion for solving complex problems and a willingness to take on big challenges.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

As procurement & supply management involves buying the goods & services that enables our organisation to operate in a profitable & ethical manner, no two days in this role will be the same. 

Some of the daily tasks you can expect will be:

-Raising purchase orders & submitting to suppliers to fulfil customer requirements
-Price negotiation
-Liaising with suppliers & internal customers
-Preparation of appropriate documentation
-Process improvement & documentation
-Data analysis & report creation

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successfull candidates will undertake the Level 4 Commercial Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship delivered by Encompass Apprenticeships. In addition to the workplace learning, you will develop skills and knowledge by studying a CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply through the use of 25 day-release classroom sessions (5 sessions per unit/unit group) delivered by an industry experienced, CIPS qualified tutor. Classroom learning will be held at a location close to the workplace.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

It is anticipated on successful completion of the apprenticeship the candidates will be appointed to the role of Trainee Procurement Manager or similar with further opportunities to continue to study the MCIPS pathway
