We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to work in an office based environment with Sycal Umbrellas Print and Promotions Ltd based in Kempston, Bedford.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

The nature of the position is to be the main support for Sycal's Co-ordinator Apprentice helping with office based work and communicating with external parties such as customers and suppliers as required.

Report on any concerns or issues which you feel hinder this or suggest improvements to any areas of the company to help improve performance.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide support to our Sales Co-ordinator with any queries and processing of orders
  • Liaise with suppliers, check orders, source products and obtain prices
  • File and log orders with online management system and hard copies in office filing cabinets
  • Generate and organise customer paperwork accurately and efficiently
  • Answer incoming calls and reply to customer and supplier emails professionally and in a timely fashion
  • Place and progress orders with suppliers
  • Complete outstanding tasks professionally and maintain good time management
  • Keep desk area and PC tidy and in a good state of organisation
  • Open general office post and distribute letters to any members of staff as necessary keeping documents secure
  • Sign for and check any parcel deliveries
  • Report any issues which cannot be resolved to Company Manager
  • Other support tasks as and when requested by our Sales Co-ordinator
