What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate will be a CNC Machine Programmer Apprentice (Computer Numerical Control) Your career as an engineer could begin here with Kolbus Autobox based in Houghton Regis in Dunstable. Kolbus have led the way in box making machinery for decades. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of machined components and machine tools. You will also be assisting with the programming of CNC tools. In addition to this, you will learn how to use a lathe and will also be trained on the milling and grinding machinery. The employer is looking for a candidate who will be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner. As well as this, the employer is hoping for a candidate who will not be afraid to suggest improvements and new ideas, as your input will be vital to the company.What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Candidates must carry out an initial interview with a member of Tresham College, (Part of the the Bedford College Group) You work space is a warm, dry and a safe environment, but you will be standing for most of your working day. The salary will be reviewed after 6 months.Skills Required
