What will the apprentice be doing?
- Through yearly assignments degree apprentices will be based in various teams across Suffolk Highways to develop a range of skills and knowledge to then specialise in one team
- Placements will cover some of the following functions, design, road maintenance, traffic management, road safety, flood management, structures, traffic signals, street lighting, and inspections and will be selected to give as wide of variety of experience as possible to the apprentices.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
At the end of this level 6 apprenticeship you will gain a BSc or BEng civil engineering degree . This will involve attending Suffolk New College, Rope Walk, Ipswich, IP4 1LT for 1 day per week.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once you have qualified this could lead you into many roles within our Growth, Highways and Infrastructure Directorate of Suffolk County Council
