Job Description

We are looking for an Apprentice to join our growing team of engineers and detailers in our Leigh in Sea office. You will form part of our engineering team, assisting in day-to-day design work while working towards your civil engineering degree under the guidance of our senior engineers.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

Assisting Senior members of the team with Structural Engineering and Detailing tasks such as:

  • Production of engineering drawings and sketches
  • Preparation of simple engineering calculations
  • Assisting with the administration of projects
  • Assisting with site inspections and surveys

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship with Anglia Ruskin University (4x week-long block release per year) and on the job training as necessary

 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The successful candidate will be enrolled in the Civil Engineering Degree programme at Anglia Ruskin University, and will work towards IEng qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers at the end of 5 years.
