The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare NVQ, during a 12-month Apprenticeship with Tiny Explorers. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare NVQ, during a 15-month Apprenticeship with Tiny Explorers.

Tiny Explorers are a pre-school based in the Canford Heath area of Poole who provide care to children from the age of 2. They are a fantastic setting with a hardworking team who are passionate about providing the best environment possible for all children under their care.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps towards a career in childcare, working in a fantastic childcare setting while learning from qualified and experienced childcare professionals.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with meeting the personal, social & emotional needs of individual children
  • Providing adult interaction with the children
  • Attend all required out of working hours activities, e.g. training sessions, team meetings, parent’s evenings & fundraising events
  • Assisting in arranging activities and encouraging children to participate
  • Preparing and serving meals and aiding the children at mealtimes
  • Helping to keep the Pre-School is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Supporting staff with various duties throughout the day
  • Assisting with checks around the Pre-School
  • Keeping up to date with all apprenticeship coursework

The ideal candidate will be a cheerful, motivated individual with a real passion for working in childcare. You must also be reliable, punctual, a good team player, and be committed to complete you training in order to gain your Level 2 Childcare Diploma.

The successful candidate will be trained to the same level as a Pre-School Practitioner and will need to contribute to a high-quality caring environment. This includes working as part of a team to create a warm friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities. They will also be required to move to other parts of the Pre-School as part of their training.

You must be able to gain a clear DBS, and GCSE Grades A*-C /4-9 or (or equivalent) are preferred, however in the event you would like to progress onto a Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship these are required upon completion of the Level 3 in order for you to receive your license to practice.
