An amazing opportunity to join the team at Little Foxes, ideally you will hold a level 2 childcare qualification and be ready to progress and work towards gaining your level 3

Responsibilities

Our apprentice will be working as a key worker for the daily needs of children between the ages of birth and five years within the nursery setting. Working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday across varying shifts.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care is provided for children
  • To give support to other team members To implement the ‘daily routine’ in the room you are allocated
  • Liaise with parents, staff and other professionals
  • To behave consistently in a caring and relaxed manner with the children
  • Formulate and operate a programme of planned activities & enhancements suitable for the age range of children
  • To ensure the room in which you are working is of the highest level of cleanliness possible
  • Prepare the children's records in your key group and produce reports for parents, ensuring compliance with company policies and the Managers requirements
  • To help children respect people of different race, ability, gender, religion and culture
  • Work alongside parents of children with additional needs and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate
  • To have a willingness to undertake additional training as necessary, and attend staff meetings, parent's evenings, Summer fetes and Christmas activities
  • Work in accordance with Little Foxes policies & procedures
  • Work within the EYFS Statutory framework
  • To respect the confidentiality of information received To have knowledge Of The Children's Act, EYFS, OFSTED, Health and Safety, Risk Assessments Every Child Matters

Qualifications Required

A level 2 childcare qualification

Training Provided

  • Working towards the early Years Educator Level 3 qualification
  • Functional Skills maths and English level 2 (if GCSE A-C if not already achieved)
