40.0 hours per week You will work a maximum 40hr week over 4 days Wednesday-Saturday. Guaranteed 3 days off each week (Sun, Mon, Tues). Can be flexible with start & finish times & happy to negotiate weekends off when required.

Job Description

Do you want to learn from the best? Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? This is a unique opportunity to learn 1 on 1 from award winning classically trained chef Nathan Phelps. We are a small but experienced team & you will be exposed to many techniques such as butchery, fish mongering, making pastry, pasta, ice-cream & much more


What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Prepping vegetables, meat & fish
  • Breaking down carcasses
  • debonning & filleting whole fish
  • smokimg meats, fish & vegetables
  • Prepping & making hot & cold sauces
  • Working along side the head chef during service

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will receive the qualification of Activate Apprenticeships Commis Chef level 2

Your training will be done at the City of Oxford Collegue one day a week
