Job Description

Trinity Carestaff Solutions has two parts, one coordinating agency workers to work in nursing homes across East Anglia. There is also a Domiciliary business coordinating home care for up to 200 service users in the Cambridge area. They have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join their office team.


Day to day duties include:

  • PASS system and telephoning
  • Maintaining accurate Care Records on the PASS system
  • Registering new clients on the PASS system, updates and reviews
  • Monitoring and resolving all the alerts
  • Updating the medication records and care plans upon a client’s return from hospital
  • Ordering medication for clients
  • If a client has a problem with their equipment, I’m to ring the right person and ensure it is fixed efficiently
  • Spot check phone calls
  • Handling complaints correctly
  • Communicating with the carers quickly and efficiently every day if they have any issues with a client, pass system or with themselves

Care Planning:

  • Scheduling of rotas
  • Plotting and allocation the new/existing clients times
  • Checking care plans efficiently to update any of their increased needs that I have become aware of
  • Calculating the carers hours and giving them their hours every week to ensure there is no issues with their pay

Engagement with Stakeholders:

  • Liaising with the Local Authority and CCG about new and existing placements
  • Discussing issues that have arisen with a client’s mobility, safety or whether they need longer time for their care calls with the correct authority

Future Prospects

  • Trinity are a 'growing' company and would be interested to offer full time employment at the end of an apprenticeship to the right individual
  • Job roles available are Care Coordinators & Team Leaders
  • Trinity is interested in investing in their teams, currently three staff are commencing a Level 5 Management Qualification

Reality Check

  • There will be long hours on a computer and possible travel to service users homes to complete spot checks
  • The business runs a 24 hour service therefore some element of 'on call' may be required dependent upon skill and experience
