Job Description

Doddle Learn is a leading online teaching and learning platform, designed to engage students, reduce teacher workload and deliver institution-wide insights for school leaders. They are now looking for a Business Analyst Apprentice to join their team.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day management of ongoing development to the Doddle platform:

  • Organising and attending all project meetings 
  • Point of contact for the external development team 
  • Attending daily stand-up
  • Writing ACs and producing mock-ups
  • Carrying out thorough design and AC reviews 
  • Works with Product Manager to organise backlog
  • Seeks input from all relevant BW teams on development work 

Responsible for QA of the Doddle platform:

  • Manages testing cycle
  • Decides if we can a feature can be accepted
  • Decides if the RC is release-worthy
  • Makes decisions on bug triage and priority, reporting to the Product Manager on test progress
  • Assembles, manages and motivates the testing team
  • Responsible for developing and improving QA processes

Supports Product Manager in strategic decision-making:

  • Supports PM in understanding technical implications of potential developments
  • Provides data insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Improving availability and understanding of Doddle data across teams 
  • Supports PM in formulating PIA document for future developments
  • Gains market insights around Doddle platform

Responsible for maintaining and improving platform usability:

  • Reviewing usability of current platform
  • Ensures good usability of new features
  • Contributes to regular UAT sessions with scripts and wireframes
  • Reviews UAT findings

Promotes UX best practices across teams:

  • Develops own understanding of UX best practice
  • Disseminates knowledge across teams
  • Organises training where appropriate
  • Maintains good understanding of processes in other teams

Uses Doddle knowledge to support other teams in their work:

  • First-line support for platform-related queries from colleagues incl. CSI 
  • Ensures all teams are supported in their understanding of the current state of the platform as well as upcoming developments
  • Available to answer platform-related queries from colleagues
  • Leads on encouraging more efficient Doddle-related processes
  • Considers and explores non-developmental solutions to issues raised by colleagues

Qualifications Required

  • You’ll need to pass a face to face screening interview with our Talent Team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch) and sit initial assessments in maths and English
