Job Description

The Digital Product Management Team is a central BPP team (made up VLE Operations, Digital Assessments, Digital Innovation and Development) who are responsible for the development and delivery of learning platforms and learning/assessment resources an across the whole of BPP to drive the digital first strategy.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Digital Learning Officer

The Digital Product Management Team is a central BPP team (made up VLE Operations, Digital Assessments, Digital Innovation and Development) who are responsible for the development and delivery of learning platforms and learning/assessment resources an across the whole of BPP to drive the digital first strategy

The aim of the team is to provide a world class service in two key areas:

  • This role will be responsible for the timely, complete and accurate delivery of BPP’s online learning content to students
  • This role will also support world class support for queries (both in terms of quality of support and timeliness of support) to ensure that our internal stakeholders and students receive an exceptional quality online experience, supporting the Digital first strategy

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and updating new products on the BPP VLE systems (Moodle/Totara) to ensure complete, accurate builds are delivered first time
  • Preparing and uploading assets such as (not limited to):
  • Panopto videos
  • SCORM file and bridge assignments
  • E-assessments
  • PDF's
  • Moodle/Totora quizzes
  • Create and manage multi-layered Moodle/Totora restriction sets.
  • Create and maintain Totora/Moodle/Ruby user profiles including roles and permissions for both students and staff
  • Managing and maintaining build sheets with subject matter experts and coordinating files in shared locations
  • Troubleshooting
  • Advising on and supporting implementation of learning resources within the Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle/Totara)
  • Working with appropriate stakeholders to ensure that students are provisioning to courses in line with terms and conditions of purchase including the expiry of online products
  • Delivering exceptional support for queries in mailboxes/query management systems
  • Ensuring response within challenging SLAs
  • Assist in VLE training including creating guides and running online sessions for supporting teams such as the Contact Centre, Client Services, UK and International Centre teams and Product set up

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • As a Business Administration Apprentice with BPP, you will undertake the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures and workplace support

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Potential opportunity for a full-time role within the company upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship
