Job Description

Pension Insurance Corporation (“PIC”) is a specialist bulk annuity insurer with the largest market share in the bulk annuity market! They are currently looking for a Business Administrator apprentice to assist the Information & Data Management team!


Your responsibilities will vary, depending on the team you are supporting and will evolve over time as you gain more experience. General duties are likely to include:

  • Meetings: organisaing meetings, creating agendas, producing minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Filing: copying, scanning, and filing documentation in accordance with the relevant processes
  • Data inputting: inputting data into systems, running reports, and providing information to colleagues as needed
  • Data Queries: build simple extracts and reports (following training) in response to queries.
  • Research: carrying our research to support colleagues with projects, and then summarising and presenting your findings

To meet the requirements of the apprenticeship programme you will need to spend 20% of your time undertaking off-the-job learning, which will include:

  • Formal training, including online learning and internal learning events
  • 1-2-1s with your coach and line manager
  • Observing and shadowing colleagues
  • Writing up learning reflections for your portfolio

  • Confident with MS Office Applications, paticulalry Outlook, Word and Excel

Qualifications Required

  • You’ll need to pass a face to face screening interview with our Talent Team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch) and sit initial assessments in Maths and English.
  • You will be asked detailed questions about both the role and apprenticeship.
